Assessment Services:

FRA North West Limited are based in Bolton. We offer Fire Risk Assessments within Greater Manchester and Lancashire. We assess many types of commercial, retail, hospitality, educational and residential (HMO) properties. All of our reports are clear and comprehensive and we utilise PAS 79-1 2020 or PAS 79-2 (where still relevant) for all of our reporting standards.

A. Initial Consultation:

  1. Understanding client needs and expectations (phone and or form based).

  2. Site visit and assessment scope definition. The assessment takes 2 hours on an average site, with around 30 minutes input from the designated “responsible person”.

  3. Review of both past and contemporary documentation (where available)

  4. Establishing a collaborative approach.

B. Fire Hazard Identification:

  1. Assessment of potential ignition sources.

  2. Identification of flammable materials.

  3. Evaluation of fire load.

C. Evaluation of People at Risk:

  1. Usage analysis.

  2. Consideration of vulnerable groups.

  3. Evacuation planning and means of escape.

D. Fire Safety Measures:

  1. Overview of existing fire safety measures.

  2. Recommendations for improvement.

  3. Implementation support.

E. Emergency Planning and Procedures:

  1. Development of emergency response plans.

  2. Training for occupants and staff.

  3. Regular drills and exercises.

F. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  1. Comprehensive reporting in PAS 79 format.

  2. Maintenance of records.

  3. Compliance documentation for regulatory authorities and exchange of industry specific documentation.
